Auburn Collision Center
Job Scope: 2007 New Construction
Auburn, California
This finalized, 30,000 square foot, steel structure makes a unique and appealing appearance, with its architectural lath and plaster pilasters and storefront framing over metal framing.
25,000 square feet of the building is dedicated to the shop, with separate work areas for body work and painting. The painting shop includes prep booths to accommodate four vehicles and two actual paint booths. The office area consists of 8,000 square feet in the building’s two story section. There is 2,500 square feet of office space on the first floor with 1,000 square feet of meeting/conference room space on the second. Additionally, on the second floor 3,000 square feet is allocated to parts storage (accessible by the freight elevator) and a separate 1,000 square foot parts receiving bay is located on the ground level.
The 4.5 acre site development included parking and landscape improvements to blend and provide expansion and relief to the adjoining Magnussen’s Auburn Toyota dealership. Roadway widening improvements were also included as part of the site development.
